  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning

  • ½ cup water

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend

  • ½ cup refried or black beans (optional)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1 tomato, diced

  • ¼ cup red onion, chopped

  • ¼ cup sour cream or guacamole

  • Fresh cilantro, jalapeños, lime wedges (optional)

Instructions

  • In a skillet, heat oil and sauté onion for 2–3 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  • Add ground beef. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer 3–4 minutes.

  • Warm tortillas. Layer rice, beef, cheese, beans, and toppings in center.

  • Fold sides in and roll burrito tightly.

  • Toast in a dry skillet if desired. Serve warm with salsa or sauce.
