Tender chicken glazed in sweet and smoky honey BBQ sauce served over fluffy seasoned rice — a family-friendly meal packed with flavor and perfect for weeknights.
1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
½ cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
Optional Garnish:
Sliced green onions
Chopped cilantro
Sesame seeds
Cook rice and keep warm.
Cut chicken into bite-size pieces and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Heat oil in a skillet. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, mix BBQ sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
Return chicken to pan and toss to coat. Cook another 3–4 minutes.
Serve over rice and garnish as desired.
Adjust sauce sweetness to taste.
