Tender chicken glazed in sweet and smoky honey BBQ sauce served over fluffy seasoned rice — a family-friendly meal packed with flavor and perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

  • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Optional Garnish:

  • Sliced green onions

  • Chopped cilantro

  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Cook rice and keep warm.

  • Cut chicken into bite-size pieces and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, mix BBQ sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Return chicken to pan and toss to coat. Cook another 3–4 minutes.

  • Serve over rice and garnish as desired.

Notes

Adjust sauce sweetness to taste.
