A creamy, savory one-pan meal featuring ground meat, tender potatoes, and a rich sauce — perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner.
1 lb ground meat (beef, sausage, turkey, or plant-based)
1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)
1 medium onion, sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 medium gold potatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 cup broth (chicken or beef)
1/2 cup cream or half-and-half
1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
Salt & pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley or green onion, for garnish
In a large skillet, brown the meat with paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove and set aside.
Sauté onion 3–4 min, add garlic and cook 30 sec.
Stir in sliced potatoes and broth. Cover and simmer 12–15 min until tender.
Add meat back to skillet, pour in cream, and simmer 3–5 min.
Stir in cheese (if using), let melt.
Garnish with herbs, serve hot.
Broil for 2–3 min for a crispy cheese topping.
Store in fridge up to 4 days.
