A one-skillet comfort dish with crispy potatoes, seasoned ground meat, and a rich, creamy sauce — perfect for weeknight dinners or hearty meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, turkey, or sausage

  • 4 cups diced Yukon gold or red potatoes

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup heavy cream or half & half

  • ½ cup chicken or beef broth

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

  • Optional: ½ cup shredded cheese, chopped spinach, parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat oil in skillet. Add diced potatoes, season with salt, pepper, paprika. Sauté until golden and tender. Remove from pan.

  • In same skillet, brown meat with onion and garlic. Season with thyme. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in cream and broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Return potatoes to pan. Stir to combine and simmer 3–5 minutes.

  • Add optional cheese or spinach. Stir until melted/wilted.

  • Garnish with parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Add more broth for a saucier texture.

  • Use leaner meat and light cream for a healthier version.

  • Great with crusty bread or steamed veggies.
